RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is an additive color model used for digital displays, while CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) is a subtractive color model used for print. RGB creates colors by adding light, while CMYK creates colors by subtracting light through ink absorption.
Screens use the RGB color model which can display a wider range of colors than the CMYK model used in printing. Additionally, different screens and printers have different color calibrations, which can cause variations in how colors appear.
HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness) is a color model that is more intuitive for humans to work with. It's particularly useful when you need to create variations of a color by adjusting its lightness or saturation while keeping the same hue.
This tool doesn't directly support Pantone color conversions as Pantone is a proprietary color system. However, you can use approximate RGB or CMYK values for Pantone colors and convert those.
Our color conversions use industry-standard algorithms for maximum accuracy. However, it's important to note that some color spaces (like CMYK) have a smaller gamut than others (like RGB), so perfect conversion isn't always possible for all colors.
